Seasonal Parks Maintenance Worker
The Parks Division works Tuesday- Friday. Flexible hours may be available during Parks Divisions’ hours of operations depending on the situation. Pay rate is $20.00- $22.00 per hour.
Join our Parks team for a seasonal position maintaining public parks, open spaces, and trails. This role supports safe, clean, and attractive outdoor environments for residents and visitors through general groundskeeping, facility upkeep, and public service. Work schedule is typically Tuesday- Friday, 10 hour days, 6:30am to 5:00pm. Flexible hours may be available during Parks Divisions’ hours of operations depending on the situation.

The City's temporary season begins April 15th. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis as they are submitted.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain grounds and turf in all parks, trails and street right of ways and City facilities through mowing, line trimming, weeding and grooming.
Maintain designated landscape effects through pruning, mowing and cleaning debris.
Plant trees, shrubs and plants as required and maintain existing landscaped areas.
Maintain parks and other facilities by collecting and disposing of debris, cleaning and hauling garbage, and other park upkeep and repair.
Qualifications and Skills
Strong work ethic with the ability to perform physical tasks for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
Basic knowledge of general work hazards, safety procedures, and general public safety matters.
Ability to operate groundskeeping equipment safely.
Must be 17 years of age.
Satisfactory driving record and pre-employment drug screen are required.
Physical ability to lift up to 70 pounds, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and stand for long periods.
Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record required for positions that operate City vehicles.
Working Conditions
Work is primarily outdoors with exposure to variable weather conditions, noise, dust, and pollen.
Position requires physical labor including lifting, carrying, pushing, and operating machinery; may involve repetitive motions.
Position requires wearing appropriate uniform and personal protective equipment.
