The City of Cherry Hills Village is seeking a reliable, organized, and community-minded individual for the full time position of Public Works Clerk. This clerical role supports the Public Works Department by performing administrative, customer service, and records management duties that contribute to the efficient delivery of city maintenance, utilities, and public infrastructure services. The hourly salary range is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Standard in office work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm with occasional evenings or weekends as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities
Provide front-line customer service to residents, contractors, and internal staff by answering phone calls, responding to email inquiries, and greeting visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
Receive, log, and process public works requests, service orders, permits, and complaints using departmental software and track progress to resolution.
Maintain accurate records and files, both electronic and paper, including maps, contracts, maintenance logs, inventory records, and permit documentation.
Prepare, proofread, and distribute routine correspondence, memos, agendas, meeting minutes, reports, and public notices.
Assist with accounts payable and receivable tasks such as processing invoices, tracking purchase orders, preparing deposit documentation, and maintaining petty cash as authorized.
Coordinate scheduling for field crews, track work orders, and assist supervisors with data entry and reporting related to projects and maintenance activities.
Attend and assist with Parks, Trails, and Recreation commission monthly meetings on Thursday evenings.
Attend and assist with Cherry Hills Village Art commission meetings during regularly scheduled hours.
Assist with Parks, Trails and Recreation commission and Cherry Hills Village Art commission events and other City held events throughout the year.
Facilitate and administer the City's Recreational Reimbursement program.
Perform other administrative duties and special projects as assigned to support department goals and City initiatives.
Required Qualifications and Skills
High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or coursework in public administration, business, or a related field preferred.
One (1) or more years of office, administrative, or customer service experience preferred, ideally in a municipal or public works environment.
Demonstrated proficiency with standard office software (word processing, spreadsheets, email) and comfort learning department-specific applications and databases.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear reports, records, and public-facing materials.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision.
Customer service orientation with the ability to maintain professionalism and composure when interacting with the public and contractors.
Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record required.

Competitive pay corresponding with applicable qualifications and experience. The hourly salary range is $28.04- $37.85 (annual salary range is $58,314- $78,724).
